There is a multitude of activites for those times when you are not lazing on the beach or by the pool. Phuket is renowned for it's golf, fine restaurants, luxury spas, and excellent shopping opportunities. Elephant trekking, local markets and some of Thailand's finest National Parks are all options too. During festivals (Christmas, New Year, Songkran, etc) thousands of paper lanterns are realeased from the beaches of Phuket. World class snorkelling and dive sites are accessible for a day trip or for a few nights away on a dive boat. Visiting the Similan and Surin islands is an unforgettable adventure.
